The song's international success was propelled by the remix to the point where the Republic of Peru tweeted about it. It also appeared on the Billboard chart and the UK Official singles chart.

The song was played live by Fireboy at the 2022 BET Awards, making him the first African artist to do so. Almost 80,000 people witnessed him play it at Ed Sheeran's concert at Wembley Stadium.

Since 2021, it has been one of the most well-known Afrobeats singles in the United States, as evidenced by its RIAA platinum plaque. With this platinum award, Fireboy joins other Nigerian lead musicians with RIAA platinum plaques Davido, CKay, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Rema.
