Blaqbonez on Wizkid's, rappers broke-shaming: "I'm disappointed"

"However, the subsequent actions cannot be justified. Extremely insulting and unjustified, but I would continue doing what I do, carrying the most criticized and attacked genre, and showcasing to the world what a Nigerian rapper looks like.

Emeka Akumefule, a Nigerian rapper better known by his stage name Blaqbonez, has responded to Wizkid making fun of his associates.

Rap music, according to Grammy-winning musician Wizkid, is uninteresting and lifeless.

Blaqbonez commented on the public controversy on his Twitter page on Monday, saying that he was upset despite being a huge Wizkid fan.

"I've spent the past few days thinking back on how far I've come, the victories and defeats, whatever the rap may or may not be, it got me this". on his twitter post.

The cult-like fans I have are by far the best part of what I have.

"I said that to express my disappointment; everyone is aware of how much I adore Wizkid. Even a dick rider on Twitter, perhaps. However, I'm disappointed right now. I am.

"I can't control my feelings; the magazine article didn't even make me angry. I've even had chats like that behind closed doors.

"However, the subsequent actions cannot be justified. Heavily demeaning and unjustified, but I would continue to do what I do, carrying the most criticized and attacked genre on my back and showcasing what a Nigerian rapper looks like to the rest of the world.

"I would continue to release these hits, timeless albums, and sell out my gigs. I don't care how far it gets me as long as I can feed my family. Having said that, listen to "Young Preacher Forever."
