Davido, among others, wins Afro awards in 2022, along with the newly elected governor of Osun

Osun Governor-Elect, Sen. Ademola Jackson-Adeleke, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, and Chief Tajudeen Amoo-Adeleke, Legendary African Drummer are among the Africans and Americans honored at the Afro Award in Los Angeles, California.





The Afro Awards' founder and executive producer, Taiwo Oduala, said this in a statement.


Fatima Maada, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Ayuko Babu, the Founder and CEO of the Pan African Film Festival, and Seye Kehinde, a well-known Nigerian Journalist, will also get awards.



Waradees should be remembered for their excellence in various areas of endeavor.


The Afro Awards 2022 are regarded as the year's most anticipated event to be streamed live on November 6 at Regal La Live 1000 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90015, USA.




The award's main goal, according to him, is to help those who have excelled in various fields by exhibiting exceptional humanitarianism.


According to him, since inception, the Afro Awards has hosted and honored over 5,000 individuals at the core front of humanitarianism and philanthropy in American and African communities.


Mr. Oduala, who is also a film director, listed some of the 2022 awardees, including Masika Kalysha (VH1's Love & Hip Hop; We TV's Growing Up Hip Hop), Curtis Young (Son of Dr. Dre), and others.



Hubert Nakitare, a hip-hop artist and activist, Lea Cher Pump, the founder of the HAPAwards, and Tina Weisinger are some of the others.

Rochel Pamphile (CEO of Rocky R&P Entertainment), Dr. Lance McCarthy (Business Consultant and Humanitarian), Fatimoh Muhammed (Philanthropist and Humanitarian), Afro Nation (World's Biggest Afrobeats), Sam Anwuzia (Founder of ZAFAA Awards, CEO Nollywood Entertainment, and Humanitarian), and others will also receive awards.


Others include Kandias Conda (Owner of Celebrity Brand), Ade James (African Legendary Photographer and Humanitarian), Yinka Rythym (Musician, Philanthropist, and Humanitarian), Charmaine Blake (Owner of Charmaine PR Firm), and Madam Lara Okunnubi (Philanthropist/Humanitarian).


The main event will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by an after party at 10:00 p.m., according to the director. Red carpet arrivals begin at 5:00 p.m.


Masika Kalysha, a Love & Hip Hop Star on VH1, is slated to host the event this year, according to him.
